Wall cladding :-
Wall cladding is a type of decorative covering intended to make a wall look like it is made up different material than it actually is .
It is just the application of a layer of one material over the another material.
For example : In Bellow image you can see the wall I'd cladded by brick chips and if we see after the cladding process is over , it will look like brick masonry but actually it is not, it just the application of a layer of one material (brick chip) over another material (wall) . I hope you understood.
There are many types of cladding :
1) timber /wood cladding
2) Tile cladding
3) Metal cladding
4) Wallpaper cladding
5) Stone cladding
6) Glass cladding
7) Brick cladding
Interior and exterior wall cladding
Purpose of wall cladding :-
1)For decorative purpose.
2) Cladding can also provide sound and thermal insulation as well as fire resistance.
3)It is mainly used to stop wind and rain from entering the building.
4)Cladding may also be a control element for noice, either entering or escaping.
